Caniformia is a suborder of the order Carnivora. It contains all the dog-like mammals: Like the cat-like Feliformia, these animals have claws that are able to contract. Good examples of carnivorous mammals include dogs, bears, weasels, skunks, raccoons, red pandas, walruses, seals, and the extinct bear-dogs.
The other suborder of Carnivora is the cat-like Feliformia.
