Batman Forever is a 1995 American superhero movie directed by Joel Schumacher and based on the DC Comics character Batman. It stars Val Kilmer as Batman. Tommy Lee Jones, Jim Carrey, Nicole Kidman, Chris O'Donnell, Michael Gough, and Pat Hingle also act. This movie was released on June 16, 1995 across the United States. It has a $100 million, and grossed over $336.6 million at the box office. It got mixed reviews from the critics. Originally intended as a sequel to Batman Returns with Michael Keaton and Michelle Pfeiffer reprising their roles and Tim Burton supposed to come back to direct, the movie was instead turned into a reboot and is the first installment of Joel Schumacher's Batman duology. Despite this Michael Gough, and Pat Hingle played Alfred and Commissioner Gordon again.
