History

Bluff City was created about 1879. The city was named after Bluff Creek, which goes near it.

Bluff City was a station and shipping point on the Kansas Southwestern Railway.

Bluff City is at 37°4′32″N 97°52′31″W / 37.07556°N 97.87528°W / 37.07556; -97.87528 (37.075671, -97.875376). The United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.51 square miles (1.32 km2). All of it is land.
