It was born to be the sportier version of the Volkswagen ID.3, it was presented in 2020, featuring bronze-colored mirror caps and copper-colored details. Currently available in 2 trims: Impulse+ and VZ, the base with 190 hp and the top of the range with 231.

On May 8, 2026, the restyled version was put on sale, featuring lines similar to the Volkswagen ID.3 Neo released the day before, redesigned headlights, and interiors with details similar to the Cupra Raval.

Another version of the Cupra Born was presented in March/April 2026, featuring sleeker and more futuristic lines, identical interiors, and 2 versions: Launch Edition and Launch Edition Plus, all fully equipped with 211 HP.
