Documentary comedy

Documentary comedy is a genre of documentary presented in a comedic style. This is different to a mockumentary, where the information is not real.

Dave Gorman, Danny Wallace, Tony Hawks, John Clarke and Bryan Dawe, Alex Horne, and Mark Steel are all notable for making documentary comedy.

Documentary comedy is often done in a Gonzo journalism style. This means they often mention themselves. All Gas No Brakes, Louis Theroux, Nathan Fielder, and John Wilson are notable for this.

Another common style is docucomedy. This is like normal comedy, but more personal moments are mentioned. However, it is harder to know where they are real in comedy made for social media, which is very popular.
