Heteronationalism is a word for an ideology that brings together nationalism and heterosexuality. It is the adaptation of an ideology that considers heterosexuals to be the only people who can make a nation great. Because of that, it also sees other groups (such as LGBT people) as a threat to their rights and to the nation. People who are against heteronationalism think that this ideology is used mostly to attack LGBT people and countries where LGBT rights are legislated.
