Hostility is seen as form of emotionally aggressive behavior. In everyday speech, the adjectival form of "hostility", "hostile", is more commonly used as a synonym for anger and aggression.
Some physical displays of hostility include grinding or gnashing of teeth, the clenching and shaking of fists, and frowning. Refusing to speak may also be considered a "hostile" response, in certain situations.
