The eighth generation iPad Mini (sold as iPad mini) is a tablet computer that is made and sold by Apple Inc. It was announced on October 26, 2026 and it will be released on November 6, 2026.

The eighth-generation iPad mini shares the same design to the seventh-generation iPad mini, but features an upgraded processor, an OLED display, water resistance, and a vibration-based speaker system.

Hardware

The iPad mini will be powered by the A20 Pro chip although models with 128GB or 256GB of storage have a 5-core CPU, 7-core GPU, and a single 16-core Neural Engine, while models with 512GB of storage have a 6-core CPU, 7-core GPU, and a dual 16-core Neural Engine.

Connectivity

The iPad mini features Apple's N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7, although cellular models will additionally have Apple's C2 modem.

Display

The iPad mini features a larger 8.5-Inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 60Hz, it also has options for a nano-texture display for the 256GB and 512GB versions.

Accessories

The iPad mini supports both the USB-C Apple Pencil and Apple Pencil Pro as well as a TechWoven Smart Folio case.

Release

The iPad mini will have a starting price of US$699. Pre-orders for the iPad mini will start on October 30, 2026, followed by the release on November 6, 2026.
