Ilya Andreyevich Mikheyev (Russian: Илья Андреевич Михеев; born 10 October 1994) is a Russian professional ice hockey forward. He currently plays for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks. Outside of the NHL, Mikheyev played for Avangard Omsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
Before playing in the NHL, Mikheyev played four seasons with Avangard Omsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He had a successful time with Avangard. He helped them when they went on a run in the playoffs. They defeated Ak Bars Kazan, Barys Astana, and Salavat Yulaev Ufa. They were eventually defeated by CSKA Moscow four games to zero in the Finals.
He was not drafted by an NHL team. On 6 May 2019, Mikheyev decided to head to North America and signed a one-year, $925,000 entry-level contract to join the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL). On 2 October 2019, Mikheyev made his NHL debut in a 5–3 win against the Ottawa Senators. During the game, he scored his first NHL goal against Craig Anderson. On 20 October 2020, Mikheyev signed a two-year, $3.29 million contract to stay with the Leafs.
On 13 July 2022, Mikheyev signed a four-year, $19 million contract to join the Vancouver Canucks. He was forced to miss most of pre-season and three regular season games after he tore his anterior cruciate ligament. He played parts of two seasons with the Canucks.
On 26 June 2024, the Canucks traded Mikheyev along with Sam Lafferty and a 2027 second-round draft pick back to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round draft pick.
