Lophophorata is a clade of animals in the superphylum Lophotrochozoa. All of the animals in this clade have a lophophore and some types of them like the byrozoans (moss animals) live in groups of almost microscopic zooids. The first animals in Lophophorata are thought to look a lot like an annelid worm. All animals in this clade are aquatic, meaning they live in water. All Brachiopods and Phoronids live in the ocean while most Bryozoans live in freshwater areas like ponds and rivers.
