The Nissan Vanette is a van produced by Nissan from 1978 to 2001.

The first generation was introduced in 1978 as the Datsun Vanette, a name that would later be changed to Nissan Vanette. The first series (C120) was a compact minivan measuring 3,900 mm in length; it was sold in Africa but not in Europe.

In 1985, a mild facelift known as the C220 was introduced; with this generation, importation was no longer handled by Datsun but by Ebro, covering both Spain and the rest of Europe. It was slightly longer, measuring 4,050 mm.

A completely new version redesigned both inside and out has been available since 1994; it featured a front-mounted engine and a length of 4,500 mm. This new generation was essentially a cargo version of the Serena.

The Nissan Vanette E is the short-wheelbase version, which is shorter and smaller than the long-wheelbase model.

The C22, S20, and S21 versions were derived from the Mazda Bongo.
