Ozzy Wiesblatt (born March 9, 2002) is a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger. He currently plays for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Career

Before playing in the NHL, Wiesblatt played parts of five seasons with the Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League (WHL). He helped the Raiders during the playoffs. They defeated the Red Deer Rebels, Saskatoon Blades and Edmonton Oil Kings before defeating the Vancouver Giants four games to three to win the Ed Chynoweth Cup. This earned them a spot in the Memorial Cup tournament. The Raiders went 0–3 in round-robin tournament play and were eliminated.

He was drafted 31st overall by the San Jose Sharks in the 2020 NHL entry draft. On October 16, 2020, Wiesblatt signed a three-year entry-level contract to join the Sharks. He was sent down to play for their AHL-affiliate San Jose Barracuda.

On June 23, 2024, the Sharks traded Wiesblatt to the Nashville Predators in exchange for Egor Afanasyev. On January 3, 2025, the Predators called him up and Wiesblatt made his NHL debut in a 3–0 win against the Vancouver Canucks. On October 26, he recorded his first NHL point after assisting on a Michael McCarron goal in a 5–3 win against the Seattle Kraken. On December 2, Wiesblatt scored his first NHL goal against Devin Cooley in a 5–1 win against the Calgary Flames. After his goal, he celebrated by pointing to the sky to honour his brother Orca who had died earlier in the year.

Personal life

Wiesblatt and his siblings are fluent in American sign language as both of their parents are deaf. Wiesblatt's brother Ocean, Oasis, and Orca all played hockey as well. Orca signed a contract to play for the Allen Americans pf the ECHL but was killed in a car accident before playing.
