The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP; English: Federal Party of the Philippines) is a political party in the Philippines. It was founded in 2018 by supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte. The party supports federalism in the Philippines.
The party is chaired by Bongbong Marcos, who became president after winning the 2022 election. Before the 2022 general election, the PFP joined the UniTeam alliance with Lakas–CMD, Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), and Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP). The alliance also included candidates from other parties.
History
The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) was founded in 2018 by supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte. The Commission on Elections officially recognized it as a political party in the same year.
In 2021, the PFP chose Bongbong Marcos as its presidential candidate for the 2022 Philippine presidential election. Marcos later became party chairman and won the election. The PFP also joined the UniTeam alliance with other political parties.
Ideology
The PFP supports federalism in the Philippines. It promotes humanism, patriotism, enlightened socialism (social democracy), and direct democracy. Its slogan is "Kalayaan at Kaunlaran" (Independence and Progress).
