A revival is the continuation of a television series that previously ended.
A television program may be revived if its copyright holders think it can be successful. However, they may wish to make something else using the same media franchise instead if they think it will work better.
Revivals usually keep many things from the original program. Unlike reboots, sequels and spin-offs, they follow the same continuity.
