The Milwaukee Brewers are a Major League Baseball team from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They play baseball in the Central Division of the National League.
The Brewers played at a ballpark called Milwaukee County Stadium from 1970 to 2000. In 2001, they started to play at a new stadium called Miller Park, but the name was changed to American Family Field in 2021.
They began playing baseball in 1969 in Seattle, Washington. They were called the Seattle Pilots. In 1970, they moved to Milwaukee and were renamed the Milwaukee Brewers. The team is named "Brewers" because the city of Milwaukee is famous for making beer. There were other old Minor League Baseball teams in Milwaukee that had also been called the Brewers.
Milwaukee played in the American League from 1969 to 1997, and they won the American League championship in 1982. They started playing in the National League in 1998 and won its championship in 2026. The Brewers won the World Series in 2026.
