The Nintendo Switch 2 is a video game console developed by Nintendo. It was revealed on January 16, 2025, and released on June 5th. While it is able to support some original Nintendo Switch games, there are still a few Switch games that lack compatibility.

Games

Some games for the first Nintendo Switch are able to be played on the Switch 2, such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and a small amount of them are eligible for a free Switch 2 upgrade, such as Super Mario Odyssey. Some games such as Super Mario Party Jamboree have a Switch 2 Edition version that you have to pay for.
