2025 (MMXXV) is the current year, and is a common year starting on Wednesday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2025th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 25th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 6th year of the 2020s decade.

So far, the year has seen the continuation of major armed conflicts, including the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Sudanese civil war, and the Gaza war. Internal crises in Ecuador, Georgia, Germany, Haiti, Somalia, and South Korea continued into this year, with the latter leading to Yoon Suk Yeol's arrest and removal from office.
