Cederberg First Residents Association (CeFRA) or Cederberg Eerste (CE in Afrikaans) is an organisation that founded by Ruben Richards, in response to service delivery failures in the Cederberg Local Municipality. The organisation was formed as a private-public partnership and the CeFRA contested the 2021 Local Government Elections.
In these elections the Democratic Alliance lost its majority. The CeFRA won three seats and this led to a hung council. This was not unusual, as 16 out of 30 Western Cape municipalities became a hung council. The CeFRA formed a coalition council with the DA and the Freedom Front Plus (FF Plus), with Richards as mayor.
By 2025, the coalition between the CeFRA, DA and the FF Plus had broken and the CeFRA formed an Government of Local Unity with the African National Congress (ANC), and Richards as Deputy Mayor. The CeFRA (or CE) will be fielding four candidates in the 2026 municipality elections.
