Geotab

Geotab Inc. is a telematics company headquartered in Oakville, Ontario. The company develops products for use with motor vehicles. The company's products are primarily used for fleet management.

Geotab was founded in 2000 by Neil Cawse, the CEO of the company. As of 2023, the company’s products have over 4 million subscriptions.

Geotab’s core product lines are the GO device and MyGeotab software as a service (SaaS) platform.

History

In 2000, CEO Neil Cawse established Geotab Canada in Oakville, Ontario. In 2012, Sprint signed as a partner, and Geotab launched its fleet management software, MyGeotab. In 2015, Geotab launched their Marketplace and acquired Strategic Telecom Solutions. In 2017, the US Department of Homeland Security issued a blanket purchase agreement to Geotab. In 2018, Geotab reached 1 million subscribers, and acquired FleetCarma and Intendia. In 2019, Geotab acquired BSM Technologies and expanded its offices internationally to China, Australia, Italy and France. In 2020, the U.S. Air Force awards Geotab sole-source contract for its 21,000 vehicles.

Geotab was ranked the leading Commercial Telematics provider in the world in 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023 by ABI Research. In 2023, Geotab received the “Best Commercial Vehicle Innovator” award from Canadian Business magazine.

Geotab has been included in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 list in North America eight times.
