Kitongoni is an administrative ward in Kigoma-Ujiji District of Kigoma Region in Tanzania. The ward covers an area of 1.2 km2 (0.46 sq mi), and has an average elevation of 773 m (2,536 ft). In 2016 the Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics report that there were 7,675 people in the ward, up from 6,973 in 2012.: 123 : 150
