For the 2025-2026 school year, the scholarship was replaced with a one-week immersion trip where pupils took part in remembrance ceremonies for the bombing, including a rose-laying ceremony and a service at Hendricks Chapel. The scholarship programme is to be resumed in autumn 2026.[needs update]
Outside of Lockerbie Academy there is a Memorial Cairn meant for the victims of the Lockerbie Bombing[citation needed]. The Memorial was built before the opening of Lockerbie Academy.
