| 10 | "Lawless" "Rauresu" (ロウレス) | September 6, 2016 | |
|
Licht points out that Lawless shows cowardice by devaluing human life, leading Lawless to become enraged by this accusation. Centuries ago, Lawless was a Servamp for his former Eve named Ophelia, a princess whom he fell in love with. However, he was heartbroken when she agreed to an arranged marriage with a prince from a neighboring country to form an alliance. The arranged marriage was just a ploy for her kingdom to attack. Before Ophelia was executed, she gave an inspiring speech that eventually brought peace to both countries. The seven Servamps were called to a meeting regarding the request to kill their creator. Kuro's decision to kill their creator further disillusioned Lawless's view that human life is meaningless, especially when the country that Ophelia tried to protect in sacrifice was ultimately destroyed by another country. In the present, Licht plays Für Elise on the piano and urges Lawless to be honest with his own feelings, leading Lawless to be given the name Hyde. Licht and Hyde break free from confinement, only to encounter Higan shortly afterwards. | |||

As Mahiru arrives to save Licht, Kuro takes the opportunity to finally reconcile with Hyde.
