General overview of problems:
- Article has an inappropriately promotional tone. See paragraphs like "Participants receive Linux training that is vendor-neutral and created with oversight from leaders of the Linux development community. The Linux Foundation's online and in-person training programs aim to deliver broad, foundational knowledge and networking opportunities". See WP:AIPUFFERY.
- A good part of the article is an incredibly long table, see WP:AITABLE.
- Many edit summaries are excessively verbose, such as "Projects section to Foundations and Projects; new 1st sentence "Linux Foundation is the umbrella organization for a variety of foundations and projects." New 3rd sentence: "By 2025, Linux Foundation was the umbrella organization for over 1,000 open source projects and communities"; Table header "Project name" to "Name." Revised LF AI & Data Foundation row description from single "project" to "75 projects"". See WP:AISUMM.
- There's a capitalized header, added by User:EagleOwlEye. Might be worth looking into this person, given their other edits. See WP:AITITLECASE.
- See also section only contains one article that's mostly unrelated.
There's probably some more that I missed. It appears that the article is only partially AI-generated rather than wholly AI-generated, so some of the most obvious signs aren't present. ~2026-48129-52 (talk) 17:24, 19 October 2026 (UTC)
- The passage starting "Participants receive Linux" was added before the public release of LLMs (Nov 2022).
- Wikideas1 (talk · contribs) was blocked for LLM use today, I guess I'll start a case for them
- EagleOwlEye has triggered mw:Paste Check a lot, I'm not sure whether their edits are AI-generated, I lean no but they do edit AI topics lol. I've asked them
- System tinker 90 has a case open at Wikipedia:AI noticeboard/System tinker 90
- Yep, that's a wikipedia article in 2026 Kowal2701 (talk, contribs) 23:00, 19 October 2026 (UTC)
- I feel like there's a two-way causation between LLMs and promotional language. LLMs tend to generate promotional language and they also tend to be used by people wishing to add spam to Wikipedia. I'd argue this probably also applies to articles that had a vaguely promotional tone before the AI boom, where the old human-written promotional content ended up being mixed with AI-generated promotional content. ~2026-48129-52 (talk) 12:00, 20 October 2026 (UTC)
