You are asking to upload with this license: CC-by-sa-3.0 while claiming that the image has this license:CC-by-sa-2.0. I'm guessing that's just an oversight but that's not the major issue. The major issue is that the photo is shown on the Flickr page of Rana Vig, yet Rana Vig Is in the photo, so is almost certainly not the photographer. There's no indication of how the copyright was transferred from the photographer to Rana Vig.--S Philbrick(Talk) 12:00, 29 July 2016 (UTC)

Article To Be Used On/Reason For Upload: No image on article List of Naruto: Shippuden episodes (season 20). The entire front cover. Because the image is cover art, a form of product packaging, the entire image is needed to identify the product, properly convey the meaning and branding intended, and avoid tarnishing or misrepresenting the image.

Comment: Are you sure this is the right image? A Google search for "naruto shippuden season 20" doesn't bring anything that looks like this up. Intelligentsium 11:54, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

Hikariniwa (talk) 10:25, 4 June 2016 (UTC) http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/ANSB-12806 please read the description. The dvd-box contains the episodes from 634 (414) to 637 (417).

• Comment: Amazon uses the cover without any text or logos on it. I assume that's wrong? I've never seen a DVD cover without any text on it.

Amazon claims that the disc contains episodes #634 to #637, which for some reason are numbered #414 to #417 in the article List of Naruto: Shippuden episodes (season 20). Are the episode numbers in our article wrong? --Stefan2 (talk) 20:10, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

The numbering is different as in the Japanese, the subtitling of Shippuden wasn't used and therefore the numbering differs, however the article is correct. DispostableEE (talk) 23:28, 14 July 2016 (UTC)

• File uploaded. You can find it at File:Naruto Shippuden (season 20) cover.png. Thank you for your contribution to Wikipedia! The cover seems to be correct me. Source: http://www.wbrc.com/story/31968946/vestavia-hills-high-school-unveils-new-logo

Portion: The entire logo is used in order to avoid tarnishing or misrepresenting the intended image.

Low Resolution: The logo is of a size and resolution sufficient to maintain the quality intended by the company or organization, without being unnecessarily high resolution.

Purpose: The image is intended for use in the infobox of an article discussing Vestavia Hills High School, a subject of public interest. The use of the logo is intended to help readers identify the organization, assure readers that they have reached the correct article about the organization, and illustrate the organization's intended branding message in a way that words alone could not convey.

Replaceability: Because this is a logo, there is almost certainly no free equivalent. Any substitute that is not a derivative work would tarnish or misrepresent the intended image, or fail in its purpose of identification or commentary.

Other Information: Use of the logo complies with Wikipedia's non-free content policy, logo guidelines, and fair use under United States copyright law as described above.

This is a copyrighted image that has been released by a company or organization to promote their work or product in the media, such as advertising material or a promotional photo in a press kit.

The copyright for it is most likely owned by the company who created the promotional item or the artist who produced the item in question; you must provide evidence of such ownership. Lack of such evidence is grounds for deletion.

It is believed that the use of some images of promotional material to illustrate:

• the person(s), product, event, or subject in question;
• where the image is unrepeatable, i.e. a free image could not be created to replace it;
• on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation;

qualifies as fair use under Copyright law of the United States. Any other usage of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, might be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content and Wikipedia:Publicity photos.

Additionally, the copyright holder may have granted permission for use in works such as Wikipedia. However, if they have, this permission likely does not fall under a free license.

Please note that our policy usually considers fair use images of living people that merely show what they look like to be replaceable by free-licensed images and unsuitable for the project. If this is not the case for this image, a rationale must be provided proving that the image provides information beyond simple identification or showing that this image is difficult to replace by a free-licensed equivalent. Commercial third-party reusers of this image should consider whether their use is in violation of the subject's publicity rights.

Fair use //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Files_for_upload/September_2016 true

To the uploader:

1. Please add a detailed non-free use rationale for each article the image is used in, which must also declare compliance with the other parts of the non-free content criteria, as well as the source of the work and copyright information.
2. For example non-free use rationales, see Wikipedia:Use rationale examples.
3. This tag should only be used for images of a person, product, or event that is known to have come from a press kit or similar source, for the purpose of reuse by the media.
4. Additionally, if the copyright holder has granted permission, please provide further details as to the terms.
5. Template:Non-free use rationale may be helpful for stating the rationale.

To patrollers and administrators: If this image has an appropriate rationale please append |image has rationale=yes as a parameter to the license template.

• Comment: Why do you think that there are no free images of this person? He was famous in the United States at a time when copyright formalities were required, and there are typically lots of public domain pictures of people who were famous in the United States at this time. User not notified as it's unclear by whom the above request was posted. --Stefan2 (talk) 21:11, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

By claiming that there are no free images available, I was referring to images on the Commons. I'm certain that there are countless free images available, but trying to get them accepted on Commons is close to impossible without absolute proof that someone, somewhere, at some time, had not possibly copyrighted it. In the meantime, it would be good to at least have a non-free one. --Light show (talk) 21:28, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

Article To Be Used On/Reason For Upload: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fly_Eye_Records, because there's currently no images in the article. I think this image can be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, because a permission was provided by me via OTRS 2016062810022599. Before you click on the "Upload file" button, please add the template {{PermissionOTRS|2016062810022599}} to the "Permission" field and add the category "Record company logos" and "Calvin Harris logos", because I believe the record label is headed by Scottish DJ and record producer Calvin Harris. And also, name it "Fly Eye Records logo.jpg" before you click on the "Upload file" button.

Comment: Note that the requester is currently blocked at Commons until Jan 2017 for uploading unfree files. Please don't upload this without verifying the OTRS ticket first. Revent^talk 07:19, 11 August 2016 (UTC)

@Revent: I don't think that I did upload files, which was nominated for deletion by Nick on January 17th and deleted by him at this deletion request on January 18th. Yann is the one who said that I am "blocked for uploading copyvios after warnings" after he deleted these seven files (which was nominated for deletion by Nick on January 17th), but it seems very highly unlikely to me that I certainly did upload these images, which was nominated for deletion by Nick on January 17th and deleted by him on January 18th. These Fox Sports logos, which was nominated for deletion by NickW557 on January 17th and deleted by Yann at the above-mentioned deletion request on January 18th are not uploaded by me. I've checked if these Fox Sports logos (which is not uploaded by me) are included in the list of files I've uploaded, but unfortunately it isn't shown here. I only want to license under a Commons-compatible free license when uploading an image, categorize images, and/or transfer free images to Wikimedia Commons, etc., not upload these files (such as attack files, stupid, offensive, blatant and/or rough things, file with a name that would be a violation of Commons' policies and guidelines, or reproductions of other inappropriate works, etc.). XPanettaa (talk) 17:30, 6 September 2016 (UTC)

@XPanettaa: Not interested in arguing, and this would be the wrong place for it anyhow. Just pointing out that the ticket should be checked first... if someone who is not an OTRS agent adds that template, they will trigger an abuse filter. Revent^talk 17:37, 6 September 2016 (UTC)

Note: The OTRS permission is invalid and this logo was uploaded under fair use. Do NOT use this logo in any other location as it is not free. --Majora (talk) 06:14, 11 September 2016 (UTC)
