Barbados ceased to be a Commonwealth realm on 30 November 2021, so it should be changed to the same shade of red as Guyana, South Africa, Pakistan, etc, as it qualifies as a former realm at the time of Elizabeth II's death. Thanks. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 17:03, 9 September 2022 (UTC)

Hi i am just wondering can sombody make a world map of nations which have Lèse-majesté laws aka offence against the dignity of a reigning sovereign or against a state. You can have two colors, Red for nations which have current laws and yellow for nations which had laws but no longer.

The Red colored nations which have current laws are.

  • Belgium
  • Denmark
  • Germany
  • Iceland
  • Italy
  • Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Russia
  • Spain
  • Turkey
  • Jordan
  • Kuwait
  • Qatar
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Bhutan
  • Brunei
  • Cambodia
  • Malaysia
  • Thailand

The Yellow colored nations which no longer have these laws are.

  • Japan
  • Norway
  • United Kingdom

"yellow for nations which had laws but no longer": I guess that at some point in the past pretty much all nations had such laws. Should we limit to countries that had such laws in the modern era (20th century onwards?)? A455bcd9 (talk) 12:20, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
Also: France had such a law until ~1830 for the King (source) but it was later re-introduced for the President (source), and then recently abolished. A455bcd9 (talk) 12:22, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
I agree, limiting it to the modern era is the way to go. Alternatively, we could omit the nations that no longer have such laws. M.Bitton (talk) 12:41, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
The map is ready (it's easily modifiable is necessary). I'll await La lopi's response before uploading it. M.Bitton (talk) 12:48, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
Hi M.Bitton its good to know that the map you made is easily modifiable (so we can make changes to it later on) in the meantime we can use any map you made. Can i see what it looks like, thanks.La lopi (talk) 03:17, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
