The 2nd Wikimeetup Karachi in Karachi was held on Wednesday 24 May 2017 by Sindhi Wikipedians. A total of 5 attendees attended this meetup, with an important topic being discussed on publicity and development of the Sindhi-language Wikipedia.
The meetup was planned by Jogi Asad, and brought to to fruit by various Wikipedians on Sindhi Wikipedia, Urdu Wikipedia, as well as through social media invitations. Three Sindhi Wikipedians and one Urdu Wikipedia admin worked collaboratively to make happen this Wikipedia workshop and meetup possible. It was the first ever Sindhi Wikipedia Workshop.
Topics discussed included the Sindhi, Urdu and Punjabi Wikipedia projects; other Wikimedia foundation projects; the utilization of these projects in education and research; planning of strategies to conduct more such Wikipedia workshops in universities, colleges, and libraries in Sindh and in general all over Pakistan.
