This page is documentation of efforts taken by community members for wikipedia summit nashik.
Agenda team
- The very basic and rough agenda was generated on 11th June 2016.
- List of dignitaries was prepared on 13th June 2016
- Agenda was prepared with more details on 15th June 2016
- Agenda (including time slots for presentations, activities and overall day plan) was finalized on 18th June 2016.
- Went to IEI Hall. Discussion on agenda was done on 20th June 2016.
- Agenda was finalized at Digital Impact Square on 22nd June 2016.
- Modified agenda on 23rd June 2016 at Credila
- On 23rd June 2016, Engaging activities for participants are finalized with all necessary requirements. Arrangement of tables required for engaging activities and registration is done. Stationery list is also prepared.
Invitation team
- Drafted a letter of invitation to former community member Vaishali Balajiwale on 16th June 2016.
- Drafted letter of Invitation to Mayor, deputy mayor and commissioner on 16 June 2016.
- Invitation letters are handed over to Vaishali Balajiwale, Mayor (Mr.Ashok Murtadak), Deputy Mayor (Mr.Gurmeet Bagga) and Commissioner (Mr.Praveen Gedam) on 20th June 2016.
- Confirmation mails are sent to the participants on 23rd June 2016.
Marketing team
- Planning the promotional strategies for more enrollments.
- Digital media Marketing
- Mouth to mouth publicity.
- Will be visiting Institutions & coachings for enrollments.
- Designing the creative stuff for promotions.
- Visited cmsc college for promotion
On 18 June 2016
Team members visited top food joints in Nashik and received their permission to put promotional posters of summit at their food joints. Motive is to capture attention of college students who visit these food joints. Following food joints agreed for posters:

- Had a talk with Radio channels to promote the event.Need to take follow up through mail & finalise.

21st June 2016
Conducted a press conference with local newspaper representatives. We informed them about our previous Wikipedia related activities and events. The main aim of this press conference was to promote the upcoming Wikipedia Nashik Summit. We provided them with the proper details of the summit and explained to them how this summit would help the students as well as Wikipedia.
Anchoring team
- Created a rough draft of anchoring script on 17th June 2016.
- Will be finalizing the same by 18th June 2016.
- Basic points for anchonring were disscued by the team and Sorted who will be falicitating the dignaitories by 19th June 2016
- Will meeting and finalizing the Script by 20th June 2016
- Taking guidance from Prabjyot for the storyline on 20th June 2016
- Changes in script was done on 20th June 2016
- Discussed script with team members on 22nd June 2016
- Made it more efficient 22nd June 2016.
- Modified the agenda with help Prabhjyot at credila on 23rd June.
Food team
- For the convenience of participants and to avoid any wastage of food, we have decided to provide running lunch on summit day. Our main concern is to provide hygienic and quality food for our guests as well as participants. We have narrowed down to 3 different caterers. Food arrangement will be finalized after quality check.
- Went for food testing on 22nd June 2016
- On 23rd June 2016, food team is done with food arrangements. After the process of quality check, we confirmed the service provider for food. He will be looking after food and water arrangements on summit day. We will try our best to provide neat and clean food arrangement.
Grant Team
Awaiting for funds to be transferred in provided bank account. Until then we are gathering quotations from various places for food, posters/banners, stationary and t-shirts.
Printing Team
- Banner designs are ready.
- Team will be going at the Venue hall for reviewing the set ups and taking the measurements for banners and standees.
