1 Jailer 21,871,647 Jumping from its debut at number three on last week's Report to take the top spot on this week's, this Tamil-language action comedy starring prolific Indian actor Rajinikanth received mildly positive reviews from critics and massively positive box office returns, having surpassed the success of its predecessor and becoming the highest-grossing Tamil film and second-highest grossing Indian film of 2026, surpassing the three-week Report entry Drishyam: The Conclusion to take the latter slot. Only time will tell whether it will surpass that film in number of weeks on the Report as well.
2 Elizabeth Holmes1,564,454 Audiences are enraptured by this deep, unfettered and unsettling look into the former Theranos CEO's weeks before her prison sentence. Did #10 lose his objectivity as a documentarian? Are strings being pulled behind the curtain? Is this all ill-advised image control? Is Holmes a real person or a character? Why would she deceive you?

5 Clayface (film)906,872 While a Joker movie and a Penguin show seem natural, it's surprising to see Clayface of all Batman villains getting a standalone movie (emphasis on 'standalone', even if it's supposedly part of the DC Universe started in Superman no superheroes are mentioned). And thanks to Mike Flanagan writing the script and James Watkins directing, it gets a thriller approach with much body horror as Tom Rhys Harries plays Matt Hagen, an actor who after being disfigured undergoes an experimental treatment to fix his features, but eventually his body gets clay-like properties that allow him to shapeshift and commit murders in unusual ways once he goes nuts. Reviews were positive and Clayface topped the weekend, already making back its modest budget with $43 million worldwide, allowing the DCU to bounce back after the bad performance of Supergirl.
6 Tom Skerritt875,009 The widely accomplished film and TV actor, known for his roles in M*A*S*H, Alien, Top Gun, and Picket Fences, died on October 21 at age 93. For modern audiences, he is perhaps known for a namedrop in the internet video "Shoes".
7 Kim Jong Un786,034 The Supreme Leader of North Korea recently made a surprise one-day visit to China, crossing the newly-made New Yalu River Bridge and arriving in the Chinese border city of Dandong. During the short trip, he met with a senior CCP official and pledged to strengthen bilateral relations with the DRPK's closest ally.
8 Street Fighter (2026 film)731,793 The new video game adaptation continues to receive pageviews despite not being particularly successful. The film has received mixed reviews from critics, who criticized the story and negatively compared it to previous game adaptations, including previous Report entry Resident Evil. It's currently at just under 80 million grossed on a budget of 82 million, meaning it hasn't broken even yet but likely will before its theatrical run ends. The final earnings are crucial to see if the movie's sequel hooks can be solved in a follow-up.

13 Amy Acton513,588 The 2026 Ohio gubernatorial election between Acton (the Democratic Party nominee) and #17 (the Republican Party) nominee took a turn that no one asked for. Ramaswamy's campaign released a campaign ad featuring Acton's estranged mother. Acton's mother, a convicted felon, lost custody of Acton in 1978 due to multiple factors that can be found in the article about Acton's life. Despite bipartisan condemnation from Ohio political leaders (except one), the ad was broadcast to Ohio voters, creating a controversial debate on the limits of negative campaigning.
14 VisionQuest487,584 The critically-acclaimed MCU miniseries makes its second Report appearance in the same position as last week. Starring Paul Bettany as the titular Vision, an AI trying to understand himself while escaping from those who want him dead, reuniting with his son and dealing with a supervillain living in his head, the miniseries released episodes three and four on October 20.
15 John Anderson (singer)476,069 This country music artist, best known for the song Swingin', died on October 21 at the age of 71. Anderson won a CMA Award for in 1983 for Country Music Association Award for Single of the Year for Swingin', and was nominated for a Grammy the previous year for his song I'm Just an Old Chunk of Coal (But I'm Gonna Be a Diamond Someday). 16 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 439,315 Not to be confused with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which is when a franchise of World War II shooters moved onto other time settings. This is the 23rd (!) installment of the series that gets a new game every year, with a few continuity reboots along the way, and this time around focuses on soldiers intervening in a war between the Koreas.
17 Vivek Ramaswamy436,484 The Republican nominee for the 2026 Ohio gubernatorial election has faced other controversy on the campaign trail against #13, including use of his private jet and his use of unlicensed bodyguards. However, he and his team are hoping that between this most recent attack ad and endorsements by the President, Vice President, and another billionaire, that he can beat Acton in November. We swear that last line wasn't WP:PAID, despite his history. This is despite a key Republican demographic being avidly against his campaign.
18 Carrie (TV series)442,371 This started the week as Carrie (miniseries), but the confirmation of a second season led to a page rename - after all, among the many changes to the original story is having Carrie White not die when she attempts getting revenge on her mother.
19 Aberfan disaster426,309 October 21 marked the 50th anniversary of this Welsh industrial and environmental disaster, in which a slurry of a slag heap caused a landslide into the town of Aberfan, hitting a primary school and other local buildings and killing 144 people, mostly children.
20 Ilhan Omar424,253 The fallout over the immigration raid on this representative's house continues, with new reporting revealing her sister was interviewed as part of the government's attempts to find sufficient evidence to denaturalize her. The New York Times editorial board has released a piece comparing the raid to tactics used by fascist and authoritarian states. Despite this controversy, she is still expected to comfortably win reelection.
21 Barbara Palvin409,935 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2026 happened on Sunday, bringing back many past Angels, including this Hungarian model who just six weeks after giving birth to her daughter with Dylan Sprouse was in good enough shape to walk the runway in underwear.

French policing tactics in response to the protests have received criticism from diplomats and human rights groups for being disproportionate and repressive. The protests are still ongoing and still receiving major media coverage, with no end in sight.
25 Slow Horses 367,400 Keeping off #2's old company is an Apple TV show about an MI5 unit where disgraced or failed agents are consigned, titled Slough House and thus leading those there to be "slow horses". But this TV series, based on a series of novels with each season based on its corresponding novel, has been running for six seasons since 2022. Why is it only trending now? Well, the finale of the sixth season released on 21 October, with fans buzzing about what happened on that episode. A seventh season is on the way.
