Welcome to WikiProject Cardiff. Some Wikipedians have formed this collaboration resource and group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Cardiff and the organisation of information and articles on this topic. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions and various resources; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the topic.

Goals

Control and organisation

On reflection of Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Guide/WikiProject#Control_and_organization, it has been decided that the project would benefit from certain members taking the role of co-ordinator. Guidelines also state that co-ordinators cannot be 'forced' on an unwilling WikiProject. If you feel that a co-ordinator system is not working, please bring this up on the talk page where a consensus shall be held. Likewise, if you feel that any co-ordinator, including the lead co-ordinator has shown any kind of misconduct within the project, please bring this up on the talk page, where the other co-ordinators will discuss whether or not to hold a consensus to determine whether or not to remove the user from the position.

Responsibility

The primary responsibility of any project's coordinators is the maintenance and housekeeping work involved in keeping the project and its internal processes running smoothly. They should generally be regarded as a main point of contact. However, they are not (necessarily) administrators and have no special powers over the project.

Nomination

When there is a vacant position as a co-ordinator, you may nominate yourself with the outcome based on a consensus, or you may be nominated by a co-ordinator and then it is up to you whether or not to proceed with the consensus to become a co-ordinator.
