Hello there, may I request a cladogram from Vautrin et al. for the Lophiodontidae? A cladogram can be found in "New Remains of Lophiaspis maurettei (Mammalia, Perissodactyla) from the Early Eocene of France and the Implications for the Origin of the Lophiodontidae." https://hal.science/hal-03432979/ Thank you. Here you go. IJReid{{T - C - D - R}} 16:58, 19 January 2026 (UTC)
It looks like IJReid just beat me to it, but here's one that I created using the color groupings. Probably more than needed, but it was fun making it. Cougroyalty (talk) 17:45, 19 January 2026 (UTC)
Thanks! I can perhaps import this into the Lophiodontidae article later even if I generally don't touch family-level articles. PrimalMustelid (talk) 17:47, 19 January 2026 (UTC)
Hello, I would like a cladogram for both Marmosa and Marmosops. There's already one for each page, but they both have the same problem: the sources are confusing; they both cite 2 separate sources, and the cladogram doesn't seem to match either. Marmosa and Marmosops are both very under-studied, so there seems to be very little consensus on species numbers and relations (species keep getting merged and split into eachother). It's all very confusing. I tried to figure it out myself, but I have dyscalculia so I didn't get very far. Can you guys help?:) Let Me Edit It (talk) 13:10, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
From what I can tell, the 2016 study has cladograms of both Marmosa and Marmosops that are similar to what is on their respective pages, but not exactly the same. The 2019 study looks much larger in scope regarding all mammals, but I couldn't find specific cladograms for Marmosa and Marmosops. Perhaps the cladograms on those pages should be revised to at least match the 2016 study. I also see a new 2025 Marmosops study is out there, but I wasn't able to access it. Whichever cladograms should be shown on their pages, the people here can help with creating them. Cougroyalty (talk) 19:11, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
Hello, I would like to request a phylogenetic tree for section C and B of the genus Coriaria. The study link is here: . It is fig. 2, section C (at the bottom). Thanks in advance. Alexeyevitch(talk) 05:38, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
Actually, ignore this... I've managed to figure it out.:-) Alexeyevitch(talk) 11:45, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
Rana and Lithobates
Hi, would anyone be able to code up fig 2 of . I would like the Lithobates and Rana trees to be coded up as two separate cladograms if that's ok. Hemiauchenia (talk) 23:26, 17 March 2026 (UTC)
Here you go. They look kinda squished. I wish the horizontal lines were longer. Cougroyalty (talk) 21:59, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
You can extend the horizontal lines by adding to label1=. Alexeyevitch(talk) 22:45, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
You can also use |length=3em to lengthen the branches in each {{clade}} block. There is unfortunately no way to do this globally for the whole cladogram. You can tweak it to align the terminals but this is extremely tedious to do. As an example I edited the top part of the first cladogram with this edit which I've reverted. —Jts1882| talk 08:21, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
@Jts1882 Good to know. I suppose that will have to be the way. If I recall correctly, there is a way to globally increase the spacing for ALL cladograms. I thought you increased the padding for Template:Clade previously back in late 2024? Perhaps we could increase it just a tad more.
@Hemiauchenia Let me know if you would prefer to increase the spacing. I don't mind doing the tedious work. Cougroyalty (talk) 14:48, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
The spacing seems narrower than when we had that previous discussion. I've increased the min-width for a label from 0.2em to 0.7 em (the old value until 2022) and think that is an improvement (with padding the label width increase is 0.45em to 0.95em, if I understand the CSS correctly). —Jts1882| talk 15:00, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
I agree - it does look better. Thanks! Cougroyalty (talk) 15:14, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
Hi. Would anybody be able to create a cladogram of Orthoceratoidea based on fig. 3 of this paper for the Actinoceras page? Many thanks in advance! Borophagus (talk) 13:58, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
Here you go. Not sure if you wanted to also show Multiceratoidea and Endoceratoidea just as outgroups or not, so here are both options. Cougroyalty (talk) 15:23, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
I'll go with the outgroup one. Many thanks! Borophagus (talk) 15:33, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
Hello, would anybody be able to create a cladogram based on figure 4 from this paper for my upcoming article on Macromyzon?. It is okay if the cladogram only includes the annelid elements of the figure.
Many thanks in advance! Fossiladder13 (talk) 06:09, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
I created both the whole cladogram, and just Annelida, so you can choose which one you want. Cougroyalty (talk) 21:30, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
Thank you! Both look great. Fossiladder13 (talk) 18:59, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
Marmosa and Marmosops cladograms request follow-up
Hello! I'm following up on this request: I have found individual sources for 2025 cladograms for Marmosa and Marmosops. They can both be accessed for free:
Hello! Would anyone be able to create a cladogram using Figure 6 of this paper that describes the giant venomous shrew Dolinasorex glyphodon from the Early Pleistocene Gran Dolina site in Spain? Just FYI, the paper is not open access. Claudethepterosaur (talk) 16:56, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
Doing... -SlvrHwk (talk) 17:21, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
I might be able to do that, but it will take a while given how big the tree is. Do you want me to include the crown-strepsirrhines too? —Trilletrollet [ Talk|Contribs ] 05:06, 28 April 2026 (UTC)
Anything after Plesiopithecus can be simplified as Lemuriformes, so feel free to do that. PrimalMustelid (talk) 05:10, 28 April 2026 (UTC)
I just noticed the cladogram in the Cuban macaw article doesn't really match the one shown and described in the source (the sister clade relations are off). Can it be made closer to the source? The clade with two Cuban macaw specimens can just be combined into one. FunkMonk (talk) 23:20, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
Turns out I probably overlooked some tweaks I had requested myself first time around, but I still can't get the accompanying text to fit with what the cladogram shows: "Our results do not indicate a sister-species relationship with the Scarlet Macaw, but place the Cuban Macaw sister to the two red species and the two large green macaws, the Military Macaw A. militaris and the Great Green Macaw A. ambiguus."
But as far as I can see, it is only sister to a clade consisting of Ara militaris and Ara macao? Together the three form a clade that is sister to some other species, but not in the way the text describes, or am I missing something? FunkMonk (talk) 02:21, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
I think we've sorted this out on the WP:PALEO Discord server - The passage in question is referring to a tree using different genetic data, which was relegated to the supporting information. Here's how that would look:
European Pelophylax frog taxonomy (so basically hell)
I'd like to have the cladogram shown in Figure 1 of Dufresnes et al (2024) made into a cladogram usable on Wikipedia please. Olmagon (talk) 21:52, 20 May 2026 (UTC)
The cladogram in Figure 1 isn't well-labelled, so I had to do some reading to clarify which were species and which were subspecies. And I'm still not quite sure how to represent all the P. ridibundus cf. ridibundus lineages A–M. I opted not to show the ones with just a capital letter, and just merged them. Here you go: Cougroyalty (talk) 16:31, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
Done — The strict consensus tree is a massive polytomy and thus hardly informative in this context. I've trimmed the 50% majority consensus tree to just platanistoids. Again, the rest of the tree isn't relevant for that page. -SlvrHwk (talk) 05:34, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
Thank you so much, how should I add it to the article properly? Rangoon creeper (talk) 05:40, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
Use the source editor to view and copy the code below, then paste it into the Fordycetus page, ideally under a properly formatted "Classification" section. -SlvrHwk (talk) 05:55, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
Requesting a cladogram of the great apes based on Fig. 1 here. Please ignore the species split for humans, gorillas and orangutans. This is for the chimpanzee article. LittleJerry (talk) 22:27, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
You just want the great apes? Alright, simple enough (although this already exists on the chimpanzee page): Cougroyalty (talk) 22:01, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
I would like a nice cladogram of only the bottom branch of this figure. Oh, and please use scientific names. Thank you in advance! WolverineX-eye (talk) 23:27, 22 September 2026 (UTC)
Made it here @Wolverine X-eye:. In light of my inability to easily determine which species name would correspond to a common name (e.g., Anoa could be Bubalus depressicornis or Bubalus quarlesi) I have left them as the common names at this point. Replacing them is easy enough. IJReid{{T - C - D - R}} 00:24, 23 September 2026 (UTC)
Yeah, you're right. Thanks though, I'll do the natural substitution if that makes sense. WolverineX-eye (talk) 04:29, 23 September 2026 (UTC)
The 2015 cladogram in the Dilophosaurus FA is looking increasingly outdated, so I think it could be replaced by a newer one, and IJReid suggested fig. 2 in the Anteavis description: (would only need the Theropoda part). FunkMonk (talk) 05:18, 4 October 2026 (UTC)
Done, let me know if you want any modifications (Averostriformes for non-coelophysoid neotheropods?). -SlvrHwk (talk) 05:33, 4 October 2026 (UTC)
Yeah we can add Averostriformes since this is the paper naming it, would be exactly opposite Coelophysoidea IJReid{{T - C - D - R}} 06:19, 4 October 2026 (UTC)
Feel free to add, the cladogram is now in the article. FunkMonk (talk) 06:59, 4 October 2026 (UTC)
