Wu Jing (chinês: 吴京; pinyin: Wú Jīng ; Pequim, 3 de abril de 1974), também conhecido como Jacky Wu, é um ator, artista marcial e diretor de cinema chinês. Wu Jing ganhou o primeiro lugar em muitas competições de Wushu e competições de Tai Chi em todo o país. Ele é mais conhecido por seus papéis em vários filmes de artes marciais, como Tai Chi Boxer, Fatal Contact, os filmes de Sha Po Lang e como Leng Feng em Wolf Warrior, sua sequência Wolf Warrior 2 e, mais recentemente, The Battle at Lake Changjin. Wu ficou em primeiro lugar na lista Forbes China Celebrity 100 em 2019 e em 23º em 2020.

Carreira

Wu apareceu em inúmeras séries de televisão wuxia da China continental. Ele também trabalhou com o coreógrafo e diretor Lau Kar-leung no filme Drunken Monkey de 2003. Wu alcançou sucesso no cinema de ação de Hong Kong por seu papel como um assassino cruel no filme SPL: Sha Po Lang de 2005.


Wu interpretou Jing Neng no filme de artes marciais honconguês Shaolin de 2011, ao lado de Andy Lau e Jackie Chan. Wu reprisou um papel diferente como Chan Chi-kit no filme de ação de Hong Kong de 2015, SPL II: A Time for Consequences.

Wu dirigiu e estrelou o filme de ação e guerra Wolf Warrior e sua sequência de 2017, Wolf Warrior 2. Este último filme se tornou um sucesso nas bilheterias do verão chinês e se tornou o filme de maior bilheteria na China.

Em 2019, o ator estrelou o filme de sucesso The Wandering Earth, baseado em uma novela de mesmo nome de Liu Cixin. Quando descobriu que a equipe de produção não tinha fundos para concluir o filme, ele investiu seu próprio dinheiro para compensar o déficit. O filme acabou arrecadando US$700 milhões em todo o mundo. Tornou-se o terceiro filme de maior bilheteria da China de todos os tempos, o terceiro filme de maior bilheteria de 2019 em todo o mundo.
