Daniel Johnson Burn (born 9 May 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Premier League club Newcastle United and the England national team.
Dan Burn began his professional career with Darlington in 2009, making his Football League debut there and totaling 23 appearances before moving to Fulham F.C. at the end of the 2010–11 season.
He gained further experience through loan spells, spending the 2012–13 campaign with Yeovil Town F.C., where he played 41 matches, and later having a stint at Birmingham City F.C. during the following season.
After his time at Fulham ended in 2016, he joined Wigan Athletic F.C. on a permanent basis. Ahead of the 2018–19 season, he signed for Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. and was immediately loaned back to Wigan until January 2019. From the 2019–20 season onward, he became a regular in the Premier League with Brighton.
In January 2022, he moved to his boyhood club Newcastle United F.C., where he went on to score in the 2025 EFL Cup final, helping Newcastle secure their first major domestic trophy in 70 years.
