History

Palmer was founded in 1878. It was named for J. Palmer, a teacher.

The first post office in Palmer was founded in June 1878.

The 2020 census said that there were 125 people, 55 households, and 37 families living in Palmer. Of the households, 78.2% owned their home and 21.8% rented their home.
