Sentimental Value
Sentimental Value (Norwegian: Affeksjonsverdi) is an upcoming comedy drama film directed by Joachim Trier, who co-wrote the screenplay with Eskil Vogt. It stars Renate Reinsve, Stellan Skarsgård, Elle Fanning, and Cory Michael Smith.
The film will have its world premiere at the main competition of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on 21 May, where it is nominated for the Palme d'Or.

Principal photography commenced in August 2024 in Oslo.
Release
On 10 April 2025, Sentimental Value was announced to be competing for the Palme d'Or at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where it will have its world premiere on 21 May 2025. Minutes later, Mubi announced that they had acquired rights to the film for the United Kingdom, Ireland, Latin America, Turkey and India.
