This is a collection of discussions on the deletion and merging of articles related to Comics and animation. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
{{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.{{subst:deletion sorting|Comics and animation|sig=~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

I propose merging to Squadron Supreme or List of Marvel Comics characters: B#Blue Eagle. A lack of notable sources exist for the character. Emcgonigle (talk) 12:13, 30 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of DC Comics characters: S#Scalphunter because of a lack of good secondary sources, consisting of encyclopedia entries and blogs. Emcgonigle (talk) 01:06, 30 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of Marvel Comics characters: K#Killebrew due to a lack of in depth secondary sources. Emcgonigle (talk) 00:44, 30 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of DC Comics characters: J#Jeannette. She has one secondary source and its a tweet by her creator. Emcgonigle (talk) 00:24, 30 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose redirecting to Twilight: The Graphic Novel because: Appears to fail WP:NBOOK. As far as I can tell this release got put on 'indefinite hiatus' (or, rather, cancelled) after the second volume, and I am unable to find any reviews or analysis of what was successfully released. What little real-world information there is would probably be best served on the previous entry's article, with a note that the releases apparently stopped after the second volume. ScalarFactor (talk) 21:36, 29 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose redirecting to Odd Thomas (character)#Novels because the article fails WP:GNG, no significant coverage in reliable sources. The book source seems only a passing mention: . Mika1h (talk) 14:51, 29 October 2026 (UTC)
Anything I find in English or Spanish on this cartoon character fail WP:SIGCOV; thus, I believe the character fails WP:GNG. Z. Patterson (talk) 22:49, 28 October 2026 (UTC)
I do not think this manhua is notable. The only source I can find for reception is a source from The Times of India, and everything else I find in Chinese, Japanese, and English are announcements or listicles. John B123 tagged the article for notability concerns in September 2026. Z. Patterson (talk) 22:36, 28 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of DC Comics characters: Z#Zook due to a lack of sources. Emcgonigle (talk) 14:56, 28 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of DC Comics characters: S#Scorch due to a lack of secondary sources outside of encyclopedia entries. Emcgonigle (talk) 14:55, 28 October 2026 (UTC)
The Arrow episode and Order of assassins can become a hatnote in the main article. The other instance is just another link to the main page Emcgonigle (talk) 01:45, 28 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of Marvel Comics characters: B#Box because it relies almost entirely on primary sources and a Marvel encyclopedia. Emcgonigle (talk) 14:27, 27 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of Marvel Comics characters: J#Jerry Jaxon due to a lack of sources, two primary and one encyclopedia. Emcgonigle (talk) 14:19, 27 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of Marvel Comics characters: S#Solarr due to none of its secondary sourcing discussing the character in detail. Emcgonigle (talk) 14:18, 27 October 2026 (UTC)
Article was redirected because none of the source gave any indepth coverage to this 7 minute film. Best sources I could find are barely more than a passing mention, like this one or database-like entries like this one. Enough for a short entry in a list, not enough to warrant a stand-alone article. Redirect was reverted, so AfD it is. Fram (talk) 09:07, 27 October 2026 (UTC)
This is a blatant WP:CONTENTFORK of Draft:List of DC Universe cast members, which has been developed for much longer, has a retention of the actual editing history of much of the contents of this fork to WP:PRESERVE said contributions, and the draft was previously contested from AfC submission over concerns that it lacked notability. The author of this list was made aware of that when they attempted a cut-and-paste move of the draft's title to add the "franchise" parenthetical disambiguator, yet they have clearly ignored concerns about this fork's existence and failed to engage with the draft editors to gauge whether consensus on notability has changed (it hasn't).
This list should remain incubating in the draftspace until consensus determines it yields independent notability beyond just 3 released films and 3 release shows' cast members being compiled together, especially when they may all be found in the individual media articles and do not have much content overlap that is discussed as a broad list topic amongst reputable sources. This DC franchise is still in its infancy, so while it may be tempting to replicate the work done on the MCU cast members list, this remains WP:TOOSOON in its own right. — Trailblazer101🔥 (discuss · contribs) 04:54, 27 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of Marvel Comics teams and organizations due to a lack of secondary sources, two of them being encyclopedia entries Emcgonigle (talk) 03:07, 27 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of Marvel Comics characters: O because it cites no secondary sources. Emcgonigle (talk) 03:05, 27 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of Marvel Comics teams and organizations due to a lack of notable secondary sources. They have limited appearances in the comics as well. Emcgonigle (talk) 02:55, 27 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose redirecting to List of Marvel Comics characters: V because nothing in the article nor my BEFORE suggests this character is notable. Article is just a plot summary and list of appearances, with no reception or analysis. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 12:00, 26 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of DC Comics characters: D#Doctor Bedlam due to his secondary sources being DC encyclopedias and a list of scribblenauts summons. Emcgonigle (talk) 00:37, 26 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of DC Comics characters: B#Bernadeth due to her secondary sources consisting of DC Comics encyclopedias which cover many characters, and routine voice acting and list mentions. Emcgonigle (talk) 00:33, 26 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose redirecting to List of Marvel Comics characters: P because the article fails WP:GNG. Minor Marvel character (or a semi-disambig for three), nothing but plot summary. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 14:36, 25 October 2026 (UTC)
Non-notable character who has only appeared twice. Article uses a single print source with minimal coverage aside from trivial appearances. I propose merging to The Abominable Snow Rabbit for this reason. Go D. Usopp (talk) 13:23, 24 October 2026 (UTC)
Zero significant coverage of these characters outside of the two shorts they are in. One of these characters is literally Hector the Bulldog in clothes with no other aspect to be distinguished. Go D. Usopp (talk) 09:26, 24 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to Motu Patlu because this spinoff series fails WP:GNG by a considerable margin and its article is entirely originally-researched fancruft. Also
Looks AI-generated to me.. Goobab (talk) 14:09, 23 October 2026 (UTC)
The result was keep. RL0919 (talk) 13:35, 30 October 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to List of Marvel Comics characters: R because the article fails WP:GNG. It's just a plot summary and publication history, with no reception or analysis. My BEFORE failed to find better sources - just mentions in passing in Google Scholar academic sources (plot-based, not analytical) and low-quality listicles and like in news search. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:17, 14 October 2026 (UTC)
The result of the discussion was delete. Izno (talk) 23:23, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
Propose merging Template:R comics with possibilities with Template:R with possibilities; Template:R comics from alternative name with Template:R from alternative name; Template:R comics to list entry with Template:R to list entry; Template:R comics from merge with Template:R from merge; Template:R comics from related word with Template:R from related word; and Template:R comics to section with Template:R to section, respectively.
Note that this isn't a proposal to merge all these templates into one huge template, but to merge the comics redirect templates into their non-comics equivalents. I think the comics redirect templates should be merged into their respectively similary titled templates, without the word 'comics' in them, because they otherwise serve similar purposes, and I don't see the point of them being separate. I'm open to the proposals of the templates without the word 'comics' in their titles having the {{{comics}}} parameter instead if that's what Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics and its participants want. I'm surprised these proposals weren't made sooner. I've deliberately excluded 'Template:R comics naming convention' from this proposal because it serves a specific purpose and because there's no non-comics-related template similar to that one. {{R comics with possibilities}} to {{R with possibilities}}, then separately merge {{R comics from alternative name}} to {{R from alternative name}}, and so on. This should be done unless there's a compelling reason we need to divide each of these "R with/from/to generic_maintenance_categorization" rcats into topical subdivisions, and that comics in particular should be one of those subdivisions. (Even if that's actually true in some case, it is not necessarily true for all of them.) We shold do all of these merges in absence of a strong showing that one or more should not be merged. This is basically useless micro-intersection, of a sort that badly mixes categorization types and purposes. The identification of something as a comics topic is already accomplished (and is a reader- as well as editor-facing matter) by comics topical categories of the usual sort. Meanwhile, "R with/from/to generic_maintenance_categorization" categories are maintenance only and just editor-facing (nor do these generally need to be topically split, since editors working on categorization of, and other maintenance pertaining to, redirects that go in such categories are doing so on a cross-topical basis. Another way of putting it is that a redir being from an alternative name (or whatever) and it also pertaining to comics is a trivial intersection and non-defining characteristic. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 21:01, 6 November 2025 (UTC)
