| Should the article state that Kanhaiya Lal was a "Hindu tailor" killed by "two Muslim men" (e.g., On 28 June 2022, Kanhaiya Lal Teli, a Hindu tailor, was killed by two Muslim men...), as reported by RS? — — Longewal (talk) 20:48, 21 October 2026 (UTC) |

| Should the efforts to get Mahmoud Khalil deported be described as a “campaign”?
The present edit says Khalil was: “targeted in an online campaign to have him deported.”
Supporters argue that “campaign” is a reasonable paraphrase of the documented efforts, which involved individuals and organizations publicly advocating for Khalil's deportation using social media and other means. Opposers argue that describing these activities as a “campaign” goes beyond what the sources establish, because the sources do not establish that the participants were acting as part of a planned or coordinated effort. Talk:Daffodil International University
| Several sections containing information about faculties, departments,
and residential facilities have recently been removed. Some of this information was supported by independent reliable sources. The concern raised was that Wikipedia is not a directory or that the information has insufficient encyclopedic value. Question: What level of independently sourced information about the university's faculties, departments, and residential facilities is appropriate for this article? I am seeking input from uninvolved editors on whether concise, encyclopedic information should be retained while directory-like details are removed. Please consider relevant Wikipedia policies and guidelines and focus on the content rather than the editors involved.0ximjub43r (talk) 19:37, 1 October 2026 (UTC) |

Talk:List of Asian tornadoes in 2026
| This page, along with List of European tornadoes in 2026, list tornadoes in different continents. The issue is that certain countries (Russia and Turkey to name a few) are both considered to be in Europe and in Asia simultaneously, so an argument has arisen over what countries/parts of countries should be included on either page. Another issue is that most European countries use the International Fujita Scale, but so do some which would geographically be considered Asian, so this page has multiple conflicting rating systems. So, uninvolved editors, how should we draw the line between List of European tornadoes in 2026 and List of Asian tornadoes in 2026? Should we include/exclude certain countries, should we split countries into both lists based on geographical features, or should we base it off the ratings alone? tetradisulfate 19:20, 17 October 2026 (UTC) |

| Should Middle-earth character articles have lead images, even if those images are not free?
In the previous thread on this page, it was stated that there is a long-standing local consensus within the Middle-earth Wikiproject to avoid using non-free images (such as images from film adaptations) as the lead images in character articles, such as Frodo Baggins, Gimli or Aragorn. | Should South Asian cinema, broadly construed, be placed under general sanctions as a subtopic of the South Asia contentious topic in the same way as caste and Indian military history?
Specifically, "South Asian cinema, broadly construed" should be understood to include at a minimum films as well as all associated cast and crew (actors, directors, musical directors, etc.) including but not limited to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Worth noting that the proposals for autoconfirmed restriction are without precedent as far as I'm aware. Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Capital letters
| The discussion at Talk:Capitalization of internet#Requested move 15 September 2026 has been closed with a consensus to lowercase internet/Internet (as in the internet/Internet, not in the generic internetworking sense) in the title of Capitalization of internet. The RM was closed as only applying to the title, with a broader discussion needed to establish broader advice. This was naturally recommended as the best place to do that.
So, should the internet/Internet be capitalized or uncapitalized? –Maltazarian ᚾparleyinvestigateᛅ 15:10, 7 October 2026 (UTC) |

Recent edits to school articles have raised a question about the presentation of the |colors= parameter.
Two possible formats are: | colors = {{color box|navy}}{{color box|green}} navy and green
and | colors = Navy and green<br>{{color box|navy}}{{color box|green}}
The first places the color boxes before their names, which can help prevent one or more boxes from wrapping to the next line on narrow displays. The second places the names on one line and the boxes on the next. Would using |
