Some Wikipedians have formed a Project to better organize information in articles related to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and its Eastern European satellite states. It attempts to coordinate collaborative writing efforts, organize and create standards for making good articles. It endeavours to create a good reference for socialism in unbiased terms. If you want to join, simply help out and add your name to the list of participants.
Scope
WikiProject Soviet Union seeks to improve Wikipedia's articles on all aspects of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. This includes coverage of Soviet politicians and state ideology, as well as history and warfare, the Communist Party and the effects of communism in the USSR. It also seeks to improve Wikipedia articles on political and economic subjects that are sorely lacking in analysis of how government policies negatively effect society, using reliably sourced material from Soviet-oriented academics and experts, as well as relevant material published in mainstream sources.

diffhist1980 Summer Olympics boycott11:47−304~2026-57838-09talk(The United States led a boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics, held in Moscow, to protest against the Soviet intervention of Afghanistan. More than 60 countries joined the boycott to varying degrees, affecting athletes, fans, and international relations. The absence of so many competitors changed the outcomes of some events, led to alternative competitions, and provoked a retaliatory boycott by the Soviet Union and its of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles)Tags: references removedVisual edit
diffhist1980 Summer Olympics boycott11:45−104~2026-57838-09talk(yes, there was the overthrow of Amin, but the United States also participated in a number of coups in Vietnam, for example, in the coup where Ngo Dinh Diem was overthrown, to some extent this action can be compared with armed US actions in foreign countries, with the only difference being that the USSR de jure did not resort to direct aggression against Afghanistan and forceful confrontation with government troops, as was the case, for example, during the American invasion of Iraq)Tag: Visual edit
diffhist1984 Summer Olympics11:43−53~2026-57838-09talk(I do not agree with such bad terms and views on this conflict as for example,an "invasion and occupation",there was a war in Afghanistan where there was a war of mujahideen against the pro-Soviet government led by the PDPA and the USSR fought on the side of this government against the mujahideen and the USSR sent troops at the request of the PDPA government and no one calls the Vietnam War the American-Vietnam War,well, here it is here it is better not to do this and not be hypocritical as you do)Tags: RevertedVisual edit
