Operation Uranus was an operation by the Soviet Union against the Axis armies in the Battle of Stalingrad during the Eastern Front of World War II from the 19th to the 23rd of November 1942. This operation ended in the Soviets winning which led to the surrounding of the 6th Army and 4th Panzer Army of Germany, which decided the end of the Battle and the Axis' loss. This huge attack de-moralized the German soldiers which was important for the defeat of Germany later on.
