NEW NOMINATIONS

Category:Asahi Broadcasting Corporation original programming

Nominator's rationale: Needed to do this because as of 2018, the TV operations are now under ABC TV. SBF2004 (talk) 23:20, 19 October 2026 (UTC)
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

Category:Rage games

Nominator's rationale: Rage game has been slated for merge, so retaining this category wouldn't make much sense either. Category:Foddian games is based on a neologism and shouldn't exist either. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 04:48, 27 October 2026 (UTC)

October 26

Category:Islamic terminology

Nominator's rationale: containerize, with the exception of the first two articles, these aren't articles about terminology as a subject, they rather are articles about subjects in Islam. This will also make it similar to the Buddhist, Christian and Judaism siblings. Marcocapelle (talk) 22:03, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:History of United States expansionism

Nominator's rationale: merge, both categories contain articles about earlier history and more recent history, both categories have articles about outright military intervention and about other topics. Besides there is an article American imperialism but not an article United States expansionism or history thereof. Marcocapelle (talk) 21:55, 26 October 2026 (UTC)
  • The latter is a good point. I have done that right away. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:33, 27 October 2026 (UTC)

Live CD/USB

Nominator's rationale: Redundant, overly fine-grained, likely not restrictive subcategorisation. 1234qwer1234qwer4 16:03, 19 October 2026 (UTC)
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

Category:Water in Serbia and Montenegro

Nominator's rationale: This seems logical but is empty, and serves only as an extra hop to get to water polo categories. It's unlikely we'll get anything documented here for a relatively short-lived country like this. --Joy (talk) 19:54, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Atari eight-bit computers

Nominator's rationale: This category was speedy moved with no discussion. This name is inconsistent with the name of the article itself and all of its related articles and categories. It is also inconsistent with general conventions around the _-bit format. I can't find explicit policy around this but FA articles such as Master System bear out the consensus on this. Whipmywillows (talk) 19:05, 26 October 2026 (UTC)
  • Support. The recent speedy renaming request was done without specifying a speedy criterion, so I don't understand why an administrator accepted it as a valid speedy request. The cited reason for renaming was also invalid - the style guide advises to spell numerals out, but this applies to article text, not necessarily to category titles; and that rule has many exceptions listed, one of them being technical terms, and "8-bit" is such a term, commonly written with a figure. --Krótki (talk) 21:16, 26 October 2026 (UTC)
  • Support per Krótki. DigitalIceAge (talk) 02:25, 27 October 2026 (UTC)

Indian web series categories

Nominator's rationale: There is a serious issue that needs correction in the Web series categorization. This was first brought to my attention at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2026 October 16#Category:Tamil-language web series. As stated there, the term web series, in India, is used to refer to streaming shows. However, that is not what the topic web series generally refers to. But, as a result, users have been categorizing Indian streaming television series into the existing "web series" categories as well as into new "web series" categories they have created, despite there being no precedent or consensus to categorize streaming television differently. For example, a Netflix show like Stranger Things is not categorized differently due to its streaming show format. This has been discussed further at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television#Indian television industry. This was also previously discussed here at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2024 December 15#Category:Tamil-language web series, where that Tamil-language category was already deleted for these same reasons, but it has since been recreated. This problem requires a significant amount of effort to cleanup. Οἶδα (talk) 18:26, 26 October 2026 (UTC)
  • Support: As the one who brought this topic up. Shocked to see the misuse of the term has spread to Pakistan as well. So "web series" is now South Asian jargon meaning streaming shows, not just Indian jargon. Kailash29792 (talk) 23:53, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Single-article, non-resident ambassador categories

Nominator's rationale: More non-defining categories for non-resident ambassadors containing only a single article. Unhelpful for navigation and contributing to over-categorisation of individual articles. AusLondonder (talk) 17:55, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Ambassadors of Tunisia

Nominator's rationale: Underpopulated subcategories of Tunisia, not empty or nominated below. Filtered for likely non-resident postings. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 11:34, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Ambassadors of Tunisia to Egypt

Nominator's rationale: It is doubtful that Habib Chatty held any residency in his 1956 posting. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 11:01, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Japan–Tunisia relations

Nominator's rationale: Only content is Bardo National Museum attack, an attack by the Islamic State in Tunisia where people of 10 different nationalities were killed (including 3 Japanese); and an ambassadors category that became empty because the sole article didn't mention where he was posted. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 10:45, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Ambassadors of Tunisia to Germany

Nominator's rationale: Some of these people were posted in West Germany, and others in post-unification Germany. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 10:42, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Ambassadors of Tunisia to Yugoslavia

Nominator's rationale: I can't discern if the only person in this category, Mohamed Chaker, served one ambassador posting or two, and in the former case, where we was resident. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 10:34, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Ambassadors of Tunisia to Sudan

Nominator's rationale: I can't discern if the only person in this category, Abdelhamid Escheikh, served one ambassadorship or four, and in the former case, where he was resident. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 10:32, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Tunisia–United States sports relations

Nominator's rationale: Only contents are two articles about Tunisia at an event in the United States (for the parent) and Tunisia national American football team (for the child). –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 10:25, 26 October 2026 (UTC)
  • Delete Serves no navigational purpose. AusLondonder (talk) 16:24, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Netherlands at the FIFA World Cup

Nominator's rationale: Various underpopulated for each bracket where the country participated. If this succeeds, it will likely be followed by a super-nomination of all countries at the FIFA World Cup. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 10:12, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Turkey–United States sports relations

Nominator's rationale: Only two items that are not about a country's participation in an international sports event: 2010 FIBA World Championship final and Category:American football in Turkey. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 10:08, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Paraguay–United States sports relations

Nominator's rationale: Only contents are various multi-country events and countries' participation in foreign events, including a subcategory. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 10:05, 26 October 2026 (UTC)
  • Delete Multi-country events should not be categorised in this way. AusLondonder (talk) 16:26, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Australia–Germany sports relations

Nominator's rationale: Only contents are Australia at the 1936 Winter Olympics and Australian rules football in Germany. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 10:02, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Afghanistan–Australia sports relations

Nominator's rationale: Only contents are Australian cricket team against Afghanistan in the UAE in 2012 and Afghan cricket team in Australia in 2021–22. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 10:01, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Verizon labor relations

Nominator's rationale: per WP:NARROWCAT
Both of these categories are conceptually fine but they only have two strike articles each, despite my attempt to populate them. Those article pairs are now directly linked so these categories add no navigational value right now. But, as always with narrow categories, no objection to recreating these again later if multiple articles are ever published. - RevelationDirect (talk) 01:57, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:X Games venues

Nominator's rationale: per textbook WP:OCVENUE
The X Games are action sports events in the United States. We categorize purpose-built Olympic stadiums but, in contrast, these are all rented multipurpose venues. This includes the Minneapolis Armory, Crypto.com Arena, and the Schuylkill River, none of which his seems defining for the category space. But we already have Template:X Games venues and no objection to a list article, if WP:NLIST can be satisfied. - RevelationDirect (talk) 01:57, 26 October 2026 (UTC)
Delete per nom. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 11:38, 26 October 2026 (UTC)
Keep - There's already a few contradictions in this claim that I have to break down. First of all, the "purpose-built Olympic stadiums" classification rarely works when history says otherwise considering even the most recent Olympic Games have used multipurpose venues (even the Winter Olympics have done the same as well considering the 2026 Winter Olympics have used 19 pre-existing venues). Most Olympic venues for the most part were in fact rented by the organizers of the event rather than purpose built. You can look at it on the list of venues for each Olympic Games in the modern era. Such examples include the majority of venues that were used for the 1996 Summer Olympics (some of which were not built specifically for the Olympics like the Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, the Georgia Dome and the adjacent Omni Coliseum and Georgia World Congress Center, and the Alexander Memorial Coliseum, the 2020 Summer Olympics which used Fuji Speedway, the Saitama Super Arena, the Ryogoku Kokugikan, Yokohama Stadium, and the Ariake Coliseum, and for more current context, the 2028 Summer Olympics which not only has Crypto.com Arena as one of the venues but also Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Convention Center, the Peacock Theater, BMO Stadium, and SoFi Stadium. Some of which were NOT designed with the goal to host the Olympics in mind. If we are going to nominate this category for deletion based on a claim of the venues being rented multipurpose venues, then we seriously need to rethink classifying every venue category for every sporting event and league that is listed. 1960 disestablishments in British Cameroon

Nominator's rationale: Sparsely populated category per WP:OCYEAR. Merge targets maintain establishments and timeline trees. Sincerely, Boots the Blackfoot Ferret 18:25, 25 October 2026 (UTC)
  • Merge, this is not helpful for navigation. Marcocapelle (talk) 20:26, 25 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Disinformation in the Russian invasion of Ukraine

Nominator's rationale: WP:CONSISTENT with Disinformation in the Russo-Ukrainian war. The need for two separate categories is unclear.

Consensus from the August 2025 RM on Russian invasion of Ukraine seems to be that the distinction is that Russo-Ukrainian war and Russo-Ukrainian war (2022–present) refer to the war as a whole, while 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine refers to the initial phase of the full-scale war (defined there as 24 February to 8 April 2022). However, most of the articles in this category are not limited to that initial phase (only Ghost of Kyiv is). I suggest we don't need two separate categories and should upmerge this one. Helpful Cat🐈 12:30, 25 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Falconiformes (sensu lato)

Nominator's rationale: Taxonomic revisions are commonplace, and creating separate categories for every historical taxonomic arrangement would unnecessarily complicate Wikipedia's category system. Otherwise, we could end up with a proliferation of categories labelled sensu latissimo, sensu lato, sensu stricto, and sensu strictissimo. This category reflects an outdated circumscription of Falconiformes, and its contents can be accommodated within the existing categories for the currently recognized taxonomic groups. Historical classifications can be explained in the relevant articles without maintaining separate categories for them. As there is no suitable target for a category redirect, I propose deletion. コロネン/Coronene (talk) 12:27, 25 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Namibian expatriate sportspeople in Palestine

Nominator's rationale: Category containing only a single article, for a subject (Quinton Jacobs) who played for a Palestinian football team for one season. Already covered by Category:Expatriate men's footballers in Palestine and Category:Namibian expatriate men's footballers. Serves no navigational purpose. AusLondonder (talk) 11:25, 25 October 2026 (UTC)
  • Delete for now, this is not helpful for navigation. Marcocapelle (talk) 20:31, 25 October 2026 (UTC)

More ambassador categories

Nominator's rationale: More non-defining categories for non-resident ambassadors containing only a single article. Category:Video games created using generative AI

Nominator's rationale: Clear WP:NONDEF failure. A video game created entirely by generative AI might be defining, but many games use generative AI for small aspects of it that may not be perceivable by the average player, if anyone at all. If games made totally by AI start becoming commercial successes at a high rate, perhaps something like this may be warranted, but it's still too soon for that. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 21:28, 17 October 2026 (UTC)
Tbhotch™ (CC BY-SA 4.0) 21:30, 17 October 2026 (UTC)
Hrm, that is indeed another can of worms. But I would also say that it is specifically worth discussing this one because it's far easier for video games to have imperceptible amounts of GenAI in them. With films and music, it's more commonplace for them to be made entirely with it or not at all. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 21:34, 17 October 2026 (UTC)

Nominator's rationale: Redundant category layer, upmerge for now SMasonGarrison 22:53, 24 October 2026 (UTC)

Parliamentary committees → Legislative committees

Nominator's rationale: The phrase "Parliamentary committees" implies that the categories cover only committees of parliaments when in fact they cover all legislatures. For example the United States Congress which is not typically referred to as a parliament. Benboy250 (talk) 19:42, 24 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Animal spirits

Nominator's rationale: Renominating this category for deletion. It is extremely vague and ill-defined. There is no main article about animal spirits. Spirits may resemble animals but not actually be any real animal. Its contents should probably be dispersed to its parent categories based on what they actually are. Otherwise it is unacceptably subjective. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 15:31, 8 July 2026 (UTC)

Keep, oppose, a valid category per its description "Animal spirits and spirit animals are supernatural entities resembling animals, as commonly depicted in folklore, legends, mythology, and religion." • Delete/Disperse per nom. -- Just N. (talk) 11:33, 22 July 2026 (UTC)
  • Delete/Disperse We don't typically require a main article to start a category of course but, in this case, the lack of one makes it subjective. Open to future reconsideration if/when that gets created. - RevelationDirect (talk) 01:48, 24 July 2026 (UTC)
Several articles in the disamb. Spirit animals fit main article status for this category. Randy Kryn (talk) 15:27, 31 July 2026 (UTC)
  • @Randy Kryn: sorry, they don't. The only actual article is Familiar which already has its own sub-cat. Power animal redirects to a section in Neoshamanism, where it is stated that the term is used for tutelary spirits, and neither of these could be a main article for this category. Spirit guide is mainly about human ancestors, and Totem is not specific to animals. So, lacking a lead article, delete/disperse. The articles seem to be rightly categorised as mythological or legendary creatures. The claimed distinctive for "spirit animals" is that there is something supernatural about this selection of myth./leg. creatures, but that's too vague, WP:SUBJECTIVECAT. – Fayenatic London 21:37, 23 October 2026 (UTC)

Rides designed by John Wardley

Nominator's rationale: Proposing to change this category name from attractions "designed" to "developed" by John Wardley, since John Wardley was a park development director, not a designer of these individual rides (other than the earliest attractions for Chessington World of Adventures). He is already credited as developer of most these attractions on all their relevant pages so renaming would bring the category in line. Also "attractions" is a more fitting term.Detachio (talk) 17:21, 24 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Nigerian women scientists by century

Nominator's rationale: Underpopulated category, delete for now SMasonGarrison 11:18, 7 October 2026 (UTC)
  • Delete Nigeria is at times called "the mistake of 1908". It was formed by the British government in 1908, attempting to impise one identity on an area woth broad and differeing histories. Because of this we are only able to have 20th and 21st century Nigerian categories. We geberally require the pissibility of 3 century catrgories. Necause of this I wouks say we shoukd have no Nigerian by century categories at all.John Pack Lambert (talk) 03:06, 8 October 2026 (UTC)
That's not a good reason to not have these at all. We have hundreds of "20th century X by country" and "21st century X by country" categories, excluding all countries which haven't existed for at least 3 centuries from these "by country" trees would be a completely useless, reader-unfriendly restriction. Please, for the umpteenth time (not just for you, but for many regulars here), when thinking about "too narrow" or "not enough categories" or some similar arguments, think in all directions this category would appear in, not just in one single direction. • Comment @Fram: I'm open minded about an evolving consensus outweighing editing guidelines, including with the last sentence of WP:SMALLCAT. But I hope your "all directions" standard isn't a rewording of the "large overall accepted sub-categorization scheme" from Smallcat. Before that was rejected, it allowed pointless categories to stay as long as they were create en masse. Actually, I first came to CFD many years ago because the super specific New York City museum categories were copied onto the handful of Delaware articles without full consideration for local editors/readers. - RevelationDirect (talk) 00:05, 26 October 2026 (UTC)
If the overall scheme isn't useful or large enough, then just having many subcats shouldn't be decisive in keeping it. But I see in general no reason to exclude smaller or younger countries from any established X by country and century tree. Fram (talk) 09:01, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

It contains lists of Wikipedia articles by the source that they cite. We don't typically create such categories, and we shouldn't, because it would result in a typical article being in an overwhelming number of (hidden) categories.
I wouldn't oppose a category containing articles containing a references list of short citations copied from a particular source. I have seen these from time to time in articles copied from old public domain encyclopedias. Daask (talk) 16:29, 23 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Burkina Faso–Nigeria relations

Nominator's rationale: Previously deleted and now re-created bilateral relations category containing only a single article, Burkinabes in Nigeria and two expat/descent categories. AusLondonder (talk) 15:45, 23 October 2026 (UTC)
Delete Then we can speedy delete per G4 if this happens again. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 17:07, 23 October 2026 (UTC)
G4 does not apply when a category was speedily deleted or emptied out of process. Place Clichy (talk) 05:28, 26 October 2026 (UTC)
Keep: “Relations” does not mean only formal diplomacy; otherwise these categories would be titled “Diplomatic relations between X and Y”. This category appropriately covers the broader bilateral relationship, including migration, diaspora, expatriates and people of Burkinabe descent in Nigeria. Its current contents (Burkinabes in Nigeria and the related expatriate and descent subcategories) are within that scope.--Igallards7 (talk) 22:37, 25 October 2026 (UTC)
  • Keep. With now 2 articles and 2 child categories, all relevant to the relation between these two nations, there is no reason to delete this category. Note that much of this content was created after the previous C1 speedy deletion, so the part of the rationale that mentions "Previously deleted and now re-created" as if there was any foul play involved is completely irrelevant, if not offensive. Place Clichy (talk) 05:28, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Non-defining, non-resident ambassador categories

Nominator's rationale: Resuming the removal of non-defining categories for non-resident ambassadors containing only a single article. Unhelpful for navigation and contributing to over-categorisation of individual articles. AusLondonder (talk) 15:33, 23 October 2026 (UTC)
Delete per nom. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 17:07, 23 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Sailor Moon games

Nominator's rationale: All parent categories are for video games, and the main article is for the video game list. The only entry that isn't a video game is Sailor Moon Collectible Card Game, which can be moved to Category:Sailor Moon mass media. (Oinkers42) (talk) 15:33, 23 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Ecuador–Trinidad and Tobago sports relations

Nominator's rationale: Category containing only a single article, 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification (CONMEBOL–CONCACAF play-off). Not useful for navigation. AusLondonder (talk) 14:23, 23 October 2026 (UTC)
Delete This involved exactly two countries but contributes no navigational purpose without other articles eligible for inclusion. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 17:08, 23 October 2026 (UTC)
  • Keep per WP:CATDEF. This article is about a football game between the national teams of these American countries that is notable enough for a Wikipedia article. Being a game between Ecuador and Trinidad is clearly a defining element. If deleted, merge instead to Category:Ecuador–Trinidad and Tobago relations, because there is no reason to remove this content entirely from the bilateral relations tree. Nominator's rationale: Synonym. Most fictional element categories do not segregate hoaxes from works of fiction. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 11:02, 21 October 2026 (UTC)

Category:Controversial top-level domains

Nominator's rationale: Clear WP:NPOV violation; appears to be an arbritrary collection of four articles/redirects based on a made-up definition of the word "controversial". Does not seem helpful. InfiniteNexus (talk) 06:45, 21 October 2026 (UTC)

Relation between by-language and by-country categories

Nominator's rationale: Nontraditional CfD. See: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Film/Archive_89#Indian_film_and_languages_categories. I am seeking consensus that by-language categories and by-country categories do not logically have a subset relation, and should therefore be decoupled in the minority of instances where that is currently the case, rather than arranged in a parent–child relationship. Οἶδα (talk) 05:23, 21 October 2026 (UTC)
Nominator's extended rationale I am seeking explicit consensus because, as I wrote in that discussion, I am being told that the Indian film categories are secretly functioning as industry categories when they are actually named as categories for languages. The issue with that is the category system does not support categorization of films by industry, it supports films by country and films by language. It is also inappropriate because these industries are actually subsets of these language categories. For example, Bollywood is really a subset of Hindi-language films, not the other way around. We even have Bengali-language film categories currently being the subcats of Indian *and* Bangladeshi film categories, meaning the category includes films from both countries (which it should) but is also set up as the child of Indian and Bangladeshi categories, when "Bengali-language" does not imply logical membership of both unless they are somehow all Indian-Bangladeshi coproductions, but they are not. This of course ignores the fact that "Bengali-language" does not automatically imply logical membership of either of them. There are plenty of other language categories for which you could say most of the films contained therein originate from the country where that language originates. But we do not have such a parent-child relationship on those categories either. Because, again, not every Tamil-language film originates from India. And not every Persian-language film originates from Iran. Only if that were somehow logically true would this current categorization be warranted. Currently, every single film contained in Category:2020s Finnish-language films originates from Finland. But Category:2020s Finnish films is not the parent category, because language and country are two entirely different constructs and forms of classification, regardless of overlap. One does not logically imply the other. Category:2026 French-language films and Category:French-language Canadian films are logical subcats of Category:French-language films. Category:French films, however, is not a logical subcat (or parent cat) of Category:French-language films. That logic doesn't become untrue the second India comes into the equation and become true the second India exits it.
The user telling me otherwise, User:Gotibro, has also added other illogical relationships to large numbers of Indian categories, which I raised in the recent discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Film#Indian_film_and_languages_categories_redux. They insist that the entire basis of these Indian language categories was to function as industry categories. They have offered no evidence of such a carve-out consensus at CfD. I have asked over and over again for links where such discussion is located. I've received nothing of the sort. They say "Cinema of India was the first case at enwiki where regional/lingual sub film industries had to be tackled for categories and sub-articles" and "that is what their leads state and what we have always followed at enwiki". What do their leads state? The articles--which are titled Hindi cinema, Kannada cinema, Telugu cinema, Tamil cinema etc and not Hindi-language cinema, Kannada-language cinema, Telugu-language cinema, Tamil-language cinema--state that Hindi cinema is India's Hindi-language film industry. That Tamil cinema is India's Tamil-language film industry. That Telugu cinema is India's Telugu-language film industry. They do not state that Hindi-language films are exclusively those produced by India's Hindi-language film industry. That Tamil-language films are exclusively those produced by India's Tamil-language film industry. That Telugu-language films are exclusively those produced by India's Telugu-language film industry. And those are Wikipedia articles, not Wikipedia categories, which are governed separately. Any category can be renamed, merged, split, and deleted at CfD regardless of whatever someone says enwiki has "always followed". There is no proof that these categories have been covertly functioning as industry-only catgories or that there is some sort of implicit consensus behind that decision. The longstanding description at Category:Hindi-language films has simply stated that it contains "Films in which the Hindi language is wholly or partially spoken." And at Category:Tamil-language films: "Films in which the Tamil language is wholly or partially spoken." And at Category:Telugu-language films: "Films in which the Telugu language is wholly or partially spoken." You can view the CfDs from 20 years ago that established the category tree.

Wikipedia:Categories_for_deletion/Log/2006_July_8#Films_by_language
They are about the division of films by language, not about films by industry or country. And again, India is not actually unique in this regard. There are a great deal of other "films by language" categories for which you could say most of the films contained therein originate from the country where that language originates. But we do not have those language categories as children of their country categories there either, and wherever we still do we shouldn't. Because, again, one does not logically imply the other. The reason Category:Punjabi language is a subcat of Category:Languages of India and Category:Languages of Pakistan is because it is both of those things at the same time. The reason Category:Bengali-language drama films should not be a subcat of Category:Indian drama films or Category:Bangladeshi drama films (it wasn't before this user added them) is because it is not both of those things at the same time. And, more importantly, it is neither of those things because a film being in a given language does not logically imply the film originates from the country that the given language originates from. Permanent representatives of third countries to the European Union

Nominator's rationale: In the EU the title of "permanent representative to the European Union" is used exclusively for the ambassadors of EU member states, while non-EU country ambassadors use the title "ambassador to the European Union". See e.g. . In 2025, a number of permanent representative categories were mistakenly created for non-EU country ambassadors by Asrefaei. For eight of the categories "ambassadors to the European Union" categories already exists so I propose merging them. For the five others I propose renaming.
