Wikipedia:Requests for page protection

Welcome—request protection of a page, file, or template here.

Before requesting, read the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection and pending changes are usually used to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. Extended confirmed protection is used where semi-protection has proved insufficient (see the rough guide to extended confirmed protection).

After a page has been protected, it is listed in the page history and logs with a short rationale, and the article is listed on Special:ProtectedPages. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins should not revert to specific versions of the page, except to remove obvious vandalism.

Request addition of protection to a page, or increasing the current protection level

Kissing number

Temporary pending changes: Persistent disruptive editing – During this period AI impact on math, we should be sure that any changes to the upper and lower bounds on kissing numbers are made only if accompanied citations of peer-reviewed, non-primary sources, not Claude-generated results self-published via GitHub. There should be protection of mathematical results listed on Wikipedia such as these until we can get a better handle on the effect of AI on mathematical communication. 1101 (talk) 01:26, 30 October 2026 (UTC)

Talk:H3h3Productions

Indefinite semi-protection: For the past week, alongside h3 podcast, this page has had daily vandalism and addition of unsourced content by new editors. This is because of a controversy related to the show hosts and the ending of the show drawing attention, I do not think it is going to abate any time soon so requesting PP. Actual article protected 1 week, not protecting the Talk page that this was incorrectly filed under due to lack of disruption there. Declined signed, Rosguill talk 18:05, 30 October 2026 (UTC)

Nicole Scherzinger

Reason: Persistent addition of unsourced or poorly sourced content. Temporary accounts repeatedly change the mother's origin, against reliable sources. See Talk page. Example of incorrect information that keeps being added right after correction:

2026 Iran war

The Houthis are currently listed twice, both as "Yemen (Supreme Political Council)" and as one of the constituents of the "Axis Of Resistance." Either "Yemen (Supreme Political Council)" or "Houthis" under "Axis Of Resistance" should be removed (preferably the former since the SPC has remained unrecognized internationally).

An alternative would be for "Yemen (Supreme Political Council)" under "Axis Of Resistance" and for "Houthis" to be listed under "Yemen (Supreme Political Council)." ~2026-51187-32 (talk) 01:19, 30 October 2026 (UTC)
