Claude Mythos（クロード・ミュトス）はAnthropicが提供している大規模言語モデルのClaudeの最上位モデルである。特別に契約した者のみが利用可能である。

沿革

リリース前

Claude Mythosというモデルの存在は、2026年3月26日に流出したブログ記事によって公に知られるようになった。 Anthropicは後にフォーチュンに対しMythosの開発を認め、このモデルがサイバーセキュリティに重大なリスクをもたらすと述べ、Axiosによれば、Anthropicは同月に政府関係者に対してClaude Mythosの能力について警告した。

Mythos Preview

2026年4月7日、AnthropicはClaude Mythos Previewをリリースした。AnthropicはClaude Mythosをすぐに一般公開しないと表明し、同社はすぐに一般公開しない代わりにマイクロソフト、Apple、Google、Amazon Web Services、Linux Foundation、シスコシステムズ、NVIDIA、ブロードコムなど40社を超える企業にモデルを提供した。ブルームバーグ・ニュースによれば複数の不正ユーザーがClaude Mythosにアクセスしたと伝えた。

2026年6月9日、AnthropicはClaude Fable 5及びClaude Mythos 5をリリースした。この2モデルは基盤モデルが同一であり、Fable 5は一般ユーザーに対して公開されるのに対し、Mythos 5は信頼できる一部ユーザーのみがアクセスできる形での公開であった。

2026年6月12日～7月1日の間、Anthoropicはアメリカ合衆国政府より、Anthropicの従業員を含むすべての非アメリカ合衆国民に対してFable 5及びMythos 5のアクセスを禁止する輸出管理指令を受けたとして、全てのユーザーのFable 5及びMythos 5へのアクセスを遮断した。

Mythos Previewの能力

Claude Mythos Previewは汎用大規模言語モデルである。

Claude Mythos Previewの能力は不明。Anthropicは、Claude Mythos Previewがテストで「すべての主要なオペレーティングシステムと主要なウェブブラウザ」に対して脆弱性を発見したとしている。シスコシステムズのセキュリティーチーフトラストオフィサーであるアンソニー・グリエコはClaude Mythosは以前のモデルよりもはるかに強力であるとニューヨーク・タイムズに証言している。

また、Claude Mythosの言語モデルは加速主義の哲学者であるマーク・フィッシャーに対して強い執着を示していると報告されている。

Mythos Previewへの反応

Claude Mythos Previewへの反応は賛否両論様々であった。

The Conversationによれば、トーマス・フレイズの寄稿として、Claude Mythosは核抑止力を台無しにしかねないとしている。ブレット・J・ゴールドスタインはニューヨーク・タイムズに、同モデルが個人や小規模なチームを「サイバーセキュリティの不利な立場」にすると主張した。

一部の中国メディアはClaude Mythosを肯定的に捉えて、Anthropicの決定を擁護した。

財政界の対応

AnthropicがClaude Mythosを公表した数時間後、アメリカ財務長官スコット・ベッセントと連邦準備制度のジェローム・パウエル理事会議長はClaude Mythosの能力に関する警告を発するため金融界幹部を招集した。JPモルガン・チェース、ゴールドマン・サックス、シティグループ、バンク・オブ・アメリカ、モルガン・スタンレーといった銀行が要請に対しテストを行った。翌日、カナダ銀行は主要な貸し手を同様の対策会議に招集した。Claude Mythosはイングランド銀行のクロスマーケットオペレーションレジリエンスグループとAIタスクフォースの会議で議論される予定であった。

欧州中央銀行のクリスティーヌ・ラガルド総裁はAnthropicが同モデルへのアクセスを制限していることに賛辞を述べた。同モデルのアクセス権がないヨーロッパの銀行に対応してMistral AIは独自のモデル開発を開始した。

政府の対応

Claude Mythosを議題にして、4月16日にホワイトハウスとAnthropic、4月23日にインド財務省が議長の会議、4月24日に日本の金融庁が開催した会議、オーストラリア健全性規制庁（英語版）による複数の会合といった複数の会合が開かれた。5月13日、32名のアメリカ下院議員の超党派グループが、Claude Mythosを踏まえた連邦サイバーセキュリティ政策の再検討を求め、国家サイバー局長室（ONCD）に書簡を送った。書簡はONCDがアメリカ合衆国国土安全保障省、商務省、行政管理予算局と連携し今後45日以内に書面による回答を求めた内容であった。

アメリカ財務省は当初はClaude Mythosのアクセスを求めていた。

Anthropicの関係者との会合後、カナダの人工知能・デジタルイノベーション大臣エヴァン・ソロモンはAnthropicがClaude Mythosへのアクセス制限の処置に対し賛辞を述べた。

2026年4月Anthropicは、中国のシンクタンクからの要請を受けた後、Claude Mythosへのアクセスを中国政府に提供することを拒否した。
