G-protein coupled receptor 161 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GPR161gene. It is located on primary cilia and regulates embryonic development through suppression of the hedgehog signaling pathway. It appears to act as a mechanoreceptor and may not require an endogenous ligand for activation.
